1- Start off in your range
If you are a 5, start by going after a 5. If you're a 1, 2, 3, or 4, I'd still recommend starting off with what you perceive to be a 5. A guy's gotta have motivation, right? Chances are, you won't be as nervous around a girl whose looks are equal to or only slightly better than yours. That's because she's likely to be less choosy and therefore give you more leeway.
